We had someone ask if we could make these - and thought about making them available to the public. Would anyone be interested in these?

The button has a locking pin that can be attached to a bag or other item or....it comes with a lanyard so it can be worn that way.

Please no discussions on the vaccine or masks or anything....we just wanted to make these available if there was a desire. :)

While we were all asleep sound in our beds, this team comprised of Celina Fire Department- Texas, Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue and Prosper Fire Rescue were working tirelessly on a huge fire at the Champion Waste & Recycling plant!
Here are a few photos of the departments in action!

And a HUGE shout out to the Whataburger for giving us a great deal on some food and drinks so we could give the firefighters some warm food and Powerade! We appreciate it and we know the FD’a do also!

State Fair of Texas

WOW! We won't be hearing the famous words, "Howdy Folks...Welcome to the State Fair of Texas" in 2020.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the State Fair of Texas will not open for the 2020 season. Our mission at the Fair is to celebrate all things Texan and with that comes...being friendly, lending a helping hand, and looking out for others. This year, those essential traits of being a Texan matter more than ever. Right now, we must take care of our neighbors and loved ones.

The Fair’s commitment to our nonprofit mission of promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement will continue. In addition, we commit to maintaining as many participation opportunities as possible for both livestock and creative arts - stay tuned for more updates on these contests.

We have been around for 134 years and though we may not see each other in person this year, we can promise you we will be counting down the days until we can celebrate in 2021 and the many State Fair’s ahead of us. We will be waiting with open arms to welcome you back next year in true Texas-fashion with the biggest and best, “Howdy, Folks!”

We appreciate your understanding, and overall love and dedication toward the State Fair of Texas.

We are very proud of our OurCelina publication and thank the community for supporting us and allowing us to share the awesome stories of the people and history of Celina!

Good things are yet to come!

This afternoon we hit another milestone on our page. We passed 5,000 followers. THANK YOU!!!! This might not seem like a huge deal, but to us, it's BIG! It's big because we don't want to go out and just invite everyone from all over just to pad our numbers and make our page look impressive from afar. We want the RIGHT people on our page....and that's what we have!

We are very transparent in our data. We have the ability to compare our page to other similar pages and the proof is clear! The list is ordered by number of Facebook "likes" on the page and then the red graph on the right is the measurement of "engagement" (Likes, Shares, Comments) that page received in the precious week. So we are 5th in terms of numbers, but we have more than 3x the engagement of the #1 page that has close to 15,000 followers! WHOA! And the other Celina publication has a little over half the number of followers but we have over 46x their level of engagement!!!

That tells me one thing.....WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK! During the month of April, the OurCelina page had engagements (likes, shares, comments) from 83,400 people!!! That's INCREDIBLE and when an advertiser or business trusts us with their brand, they are truly reaching Celina!!!

So, tell a friend, share our page and invite your Celina friends to "Like" or "Follow" OurCelina because we have a LOT more to come!

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated in the 4cmediagroup FRONT PORCH PHOTO project!
• It was a total of 19 days shooting families at their homes
• 99 hours of shooting
• Over 950+ FAMILY PHOTOS taken during the quarantine
• The photos spanned 4 cities
• The photos spanned 3 counties
• I took photos in 34 different neighborhoods
• I drove an excess of 156 miles (just going through neighborhoods)

It was SO MUCH FUN! I am planning to do some sort of slideshow or something at some point, not sure yet.

If you missed a date or your neighborhood wasn't included, we will have a couple more dates. But hopefully after Monday, the State of Texas resumes some symbolance of normalcy and we (me included) can get back to work!
