TCCA announced that Critical Communications World 2021, which was supposed to take place in June, will now happen in November due to continued travel restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic:

With international travel restrictions expected into the spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic, TCCA rescheduled Critical Communications World (CCW) 2021 to 3 – 5 November of this year. The event will still take place at the Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) in Madrid, Spain.

TCCA and the Global Certification Forum (GCF) formed a new group to continue work on the development of mission-critical certification for broadband equipment. The group plans to begin certifying mission-critical devices with pre-integrated MCX client apps in the first phase.

EE, part of BT Group, signed an agreement with Nokia to build what it called an industry-first nationwide LTE air-to-ground network for the emergency services across Great Britain.
