For a 2nd straight year, Albia Community Schools claims the C1st Race to First trophy, an award presented to the SCC school that collects the most points through the 2024-25 athletic year!! Earlier this morning we were pleased to share the moment with the student body at a Pep Rally in their honor.

Knoxville - 239
EBF - 218.5
Davis County - 200.5
Chariton - 197
Centerville - 153.5
Clarke - 84.5
Cardinal - 31

Community 1st Race to First in the South Central Conference is shaping out half way through the fall seasons!
Year 1 winner Knoxville is on top with 27 following a great SCC Girls Tennis showing.
A well rounded and rolling Centerville and reigning back to back champions Albia are tied for 2nd with 24 points.
Clarke is in 4th with 18!
Chariton is in 5th with 9 but watch for their late run with their #1 ranked Cross Country team!
EBF is also tied for 5th with 9!
Davis County is in 7th with 6 points and
Cardinal is looking to get on the board this week!

Follow along all year long as the C1st Race to 1st in the SCC takes place all year across all sports! Community 1st Credit Union believes that all sports matter and highlights all of the schools of the SCC!

The Community 1st Credit Union race to 1st is underway yet again!
👀 Peep the trophy on the graphic? That's right, Albia Community Schools won again last year in their first back to back years! And we'll be preparing a big trophy presentation for the Blue Demons this fall! Watch for that date later!
As the 25-26 year gets underway, we've already got points being scored with 3 points per volleyball conference win, 3 points per football regular season win and 15 points for 1st place in the girls tennis conference meet, 12 points for 2nd place, 9 points for 3rd, 6 points for 4th and 3 points for 5th (3 points for each team beat in the tournament).
Already with a good start on the season Albia and Knoxville are tied in 1st at 21.
Centerville and Clarke are tied in 3rd with 18.
Chariton is in 5th with 9.
EBF is tied with Davis County for 6th with 6 and Cardinal is still looking to get on the board this season.
We are FAR from over with the rest of the football and volleyball season left and then the conference cross country meet with a ton of points on the line there! And those are just the regular season fall sports! We've got post season and then THREE MORE SEASONS of sports left to score!
