What a year for Chariton Community School District baseball: Another 2A State Semifinalist, 26 wins, and a whole lot of great memories.

While this one didn't go the Chargers way, we've got highlights from last night's 3-1 loss vs. #2 Pleasantville, presented by Lucas County Health Center. And, to the five seniors: Kenton, Brock, Logan, Kaleb, and CARVER(iykyk), congratulations on outstanding careers!

Takes a strong man to talk after defeat, and we're pleased to be joined by Chariton Community School District senior Kenton Jensen to recap tonight's State Semifinal loss against Pleasantville, 3-1. Kenton pitched a great game for the Chargers, ultimately taking the loss against the 2-seed Trojans.

There will be a new champion in Class 2A ⚾️ this season as #4 Unity Christian knocks off #1, and defending champion, Underwood, 5-0, in today's their Semifinal. The Chargers take to Scott Parcher Field at Merchants Park in Carroll in this evening's Class 2A State Semifinal facing #2 Pleasantville in a rematch from earlier this season AND last year's State Quarterfinal! We'll be back to provide our AUDIO ONLY broadcast of the game with Dewayne Cook on the call, presented by Lucas County Health Center!

A run to the State title ends in the Semifinals for Albia softball against the 2-seed Williamsburg, 9-1 (6 innings). The Lady Dees will conclude their season on Friday afternoon in the 3rd Place game versus PCM at 1:00. Keep your heads up, girls! It's been an incredible season 💙❤️
