Excited to announce some updates! Hours update effective immediately. Pricing update effective January 1 2026!
The new changes are for the better! All our based on client feedback and data from the last two years.
The hours change is really easy. I’m no longer accepting walk-ins. The studio is now by appointment only. This will actually increase availability. With enough notice, any day of the week will work, however, as a rule of thumb, I generally do not work on Sundays.
Next up, the $50 per hour with a two hour minimum is the same. I do not recommend this package for most people though because it often cost more than even my new per song package if you try to use per hour for a full song. This is meant for people who want some studio time and do not need anything else.
The $250 day session price is also the same. Again, this is ment for people doing an acoustic album or for a band who wants to record but have someone else mix and master the song.
In the past I’ve had two separate prices. One for bands and one for singer songwriters. This confused a lot of people. I’ve also been told by many that I’m not charging enough for the quality I’m delivering. I’ve also been wanting to including an external mastering engineer for a while.
All that said. I now have one price per song. I will still have sales on holidays. I will still offer packages for multiple songs. And I will still offer add-ons for extra players.
The new price is $1000 per song. I know that may seem like a lot, but that is including session players for drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitar, keys and percussion. It also includes producing, studio time, mixing, an external mastering engineer, and taxes.
You may be thinking, well I have a band, I do not need season players. That is a fair point. However, bands generally take longer to record that session players, so it really evens out. Additional session players will cost $150. This is for things like steel guitar.
All of these pricing changes take place January 1 2026.
And don’t forget, with the HITS ACT passed, you can write off all studio cost on your taxes!
