Stars aligned, is it a sign?!
In speaker challenge yesterday, l’m logging on and off juggling having my son with me in Denver for the tradeshow, working and tapping in for inspiration knowing I’ll be doing a 15 second pitch to today. I pitched last year and wanted to make sure I would nail it this year. She had introduced guest speakers on her zoom call and one of them I got to meet in person today! In a very surreal moment, I notice this petite woman with amazing arms, then notice her tattoos and beautiful face and realize it’s Jen’s friend, !
On a side note, several people came by our booth after my pitch and said they had to try our products. We got the same feedback as last year, we were told we have the best food at the show!
My son was a great helper setting up the patties for the oven and making sure they were lined up on the sample table. He got to have a little fun, too.

Got to meet at . Learned about his on Real AF podcast. Through the 75 Hard community I learned about his books Extreme Ownership and Dichotomy of Leadership and have bought both copies for most of my managers at work. His books teaches principles on leadership and how it applies to teams and business. His podcast as well brings a lot of leadership value.

Our parents never forgot their why. We may not have understood it while we were young, but we get it now. My siblings and I are the second generation leaders of our family business. Our parents were born and raised in the island of Jamaica. They met in the Bronx and together began their American Dream journey 45 years ago! My question was as I shuffled the deck and pulled my card out, “How or what do I need to do to show up as a bigger leader than I already am?” This card couldn’t have been more perfect for me.
