FYI: Traffic has been generally slow in both directions of I-5 through the Twin Cities area today (Friday). According to WSDOT, the backups were not caused by construction work. According to the Washington State Patrol, the slowdowns were not caused by major collisions. However, as a result of the slowdowns, multiple fender benders have occurred. Motorists are encouraged to remain attentive, and to plan for possible slowdowns through the Chehalis-Centralia area today.

BREAKING: Pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan passed away Thursday morning at the age of 71.

Hulk Hogan made two notable appearances in the Pacific Northwest: a WWF event at the Tacoma Dome in 1986, and WrestleMania at the former Safeco Field in 2003. He also hosted a WWE event at Moda Center in Portland in 2014.

Did you see the Hulkster in the Northwest? Did you host WrestleMania parties back in the day in the Lewis County area?

WANTED: 32-year-old Justin E. Green, of Randle. He was initially arrested in December 2024 for allegedly possessing 21 fi****ms illegally. He eventually posted bail and was released from custody. According to court records, Green was scheduled to be sentenced for several felony fi****ms-related charges on April 23rd, but he never showed up to court for his hearing. Since then, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office told Live 95 that Green was allegedly involved in a physical altercation in Morton last month, where the victim suffered serious injuries and required medical attention. As of July 18th, Green remains at large.

“If you see him, do not approach and call 911,” urges the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. “He is possibly armed and dangerous.”

BURN BAN: If you’re planning to visit the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, burn restrictions take effect Thursday, July 17th. According to the U.S. Forest Service, campfires, smoking outdoors, and using an internal or external combustion engine without a spark arrestor will not be allowed within the forest. These restrictions will remain in place until further notice. Portable cooking devices that use liquid fuel are still legal, as long as the devices have an on/off switch. If you have questions, contact the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District at (360) 497-1103.

FOR SALE: Are you interested in owning one of the oldest pioneer structures in Washington state? Lewis County is selling Claquato Church. That resolution was approved by the Lewis County Commissioners at today’s meeting. The property is being declared as surplus, and the county is now accepting bids for purchase through July 31st. Claquato Church was originally built in 1858 and it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Any future development that could damage the church would be prohibited.
