September 10 feels like a big energetic shift.

The Virgo New Moon is bringing a strong energy of clearing, getting honest with yourself and deciding what you’re no longer willing to carry forward.

Venus in Scorpio brings depth. You may find yourself looking at relationships, connections and your own desires a little differently. Anything that feels forced, superficial or out of alignment may become much harder to ignore.

Mercury in Libra brings conversations, clarity and a need for balance. Things that have been sitting quietly in the back of your mind may finally need to be acknowledged.

And with Uranus retrograde in Gemini, expect some shifts in perspective. Old beliefs, old thought patterns and old ways of looking at your life may suddenly stop making sense.

Honestly, I think this energy is going to feel like a wake up call for a lot of people.

Not everything needs to come with you into the next chapter.

Some things are ending because you’ve outgrown them.

Maybe it’s premenopause.

Maybe it’s age.

Maybe I’ve simply reached the point in life where my supply of f***s has officially run dry.

You don’t like me?

Cool.

You don’t like my style?

Wear something else.

You think my posts are cringe?

And yet… here you are reading them.

You don’t agree with me?

That sounds like a you problem.

And men?

Oh honey.

Men can sit this one out.

I don’t find dating exciting.
I don’t crave attention.
I’m not looking for someone to complete me.
And I certainly don’t need a man disrupting the peace I’ve worked so hard to create.

I look at some of the s**t people tolerate in relationships and think…

I would rather reorganize my herb cabinet.

I spent far too many years worrying about what people thought of me.

Was I too loud?
Too weird?
Too opinionated?
Too witchy?
Too much?

And now?

Too bad.

I’m not shrinking myself so someone else can feel comfortable.

I’m not changing my style because somebody doesn’t understand it.

I’m not making my life less weird because somebody thinks weird is cringe.

I’m not explaining myself to people committed to misunderstanding me.

I am deeply, wildly, unapologetically me.

And if you don’t like it?

There’s the door.

May your path be blessed.

May mine remain completely fu***ng unbothered.

Welcome to my “I simply do not give a s**t anymore” era.

The broomstick is parked.

The boundaries are up.

MAKE A PROTECTION INTENTION CANDLE

The protection candle you see here is my own protection candle. 🖤

I used an 8” x 3” black pillar candle, with salt, rosemary and cloves arranged around it. Each ingredient was intentionally chosen for its traditional magical associations with protection.

For this protection candle, I chose black, salt, rosemary and cloves. Each ingredient carries its own intention.

BLACK CANDLE
Protection, grounding, releasing and energetic boundaries.

SALT
Purification, protection and boundaries.

ROSEMARY
Protection, cleansing, strength and remembrance.

CLOVES
Protection, warding and keeping unwanted energy away.

✨ HOW TO CREATE YOURS

1. Choose your candle.
Select a color that represents your intention.

2. Gather your ingredients.
Choose herbs, flowers, salt, crystals or other items connected to your intention.

3. Create your arrangement.
Place your candle in a safe, heat-resistant space and arrange your ingredients around it.

4. Set your intention.
Hold your hands over the candle. Take a few deep breaths. Focus clearly on what you are calling into your life.

For protection:

“I create a boundary of protection around myself, my home and all within it. Only what serves my highest good may enter.”

5. Light your candle.
Focus on your intention as the flame burns. Visualize yourself surrounded by strong, peaceful protective energy.

The flame becomes a physical reminder of your intention.

APPLE CINNAMON SIMMER POT ✨🍎

There’s something about the scent of apples, cinnamon and warm spices filling the house that just feels like FALL. 🍂

This simple simmer pot is one of my favorite ways to make the home smell warm, cozy and inviting while bringing a little kitchen magic into the day.

1–2 apples, sliced
2–3 cinnamon sticks
1 orange, sliced or just the peel
1 tsp whole cloves
1–2 star anise, optional
1 tsp vanilla extract
4–6 cups water

Add everything to a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to low and let it simmer.

Keep an eye on the water and add more as needed. Never leave your simmer pot unattended.

Tonight’s collective reading feels like one of those moments.
