💙 COMMUNITY FEATURE: Kennett Consolidated School District

Now that the first-week jitters have settled and the routines are kicking in, we want to give a little love to a district that's a huge part of what makes our town our town — the ! 🎒✏️

From the littlest learners at Mary D. Lang to the halls of Kennett High School, Kennett isn't just a school district — it's Friday night lights, packed gyms, band concerts, art shows, and a genuinely diverse, tight-knit community that shows up for its kids. 💫

And behind all of it: the teachers, bus drivers, coaches, aides, cafeteria crews, and staff who pour their hearts into these students every single day. That work shapes not just our kids, but the whole character of our community. 🙌

So here's to a great year ahead, Blue Demons 💙🎉 — may it be full of new friendships, big wins, lightbulb moments, and memories that last.

🍄 The best mushroom dish in town?

We ARE the Mushroom Capital of the World — so obviously our restaurants take fungi seriously. Here are the local dishes worth ordering 👇

🥣 Portabellos' Roasted Mushroom Soup — the heavyweight champ. Made with local Stinson's Farm mushrooms, Madeira w**e, and fried shallots, it was literally ranked one of the best mushroom dishes in ALL of America ( #4 in the nation!). This is the one to beat. 🏆

🥪 Portabellos' Portabello Cheesesteak — a meatless cheesesteak so good you'd never guess. A must-try twist on a Philly classic.

🧀 Talula's Table Cream of Mushroom Soup + Mushroom Mac & Cheese — the famous gourmet market does mushrooms beautifully. Grab the soup with their whole-grain rolls.

🇺🇸 HAPPY LABOR DAY from your neighbor (and local Realtor) here in the Brandyw**e Valley!

Today's about slowing down and celebrating the people whose hard work makes our community what it is — the farmers at the stands, the small-business owners on State Street, the teachers heading back to classrooms, the folks who keep our towns running all year long. 💙
