1. INTRODUCTION
I, Joseph Ng’uni, humbly offer myself to serve as BETUZ District Chairperson for Chama.
I stand as a committed teacher, unionist, and community member who believes that the power of progress lies in our ability to unite, organize, and advocate strongly for better working conditions.
My leadership will be guided by fairness, transparency, and accountability—ensuring that every teacher’s voice matters and is heard.
2. MY VISION
“Stronger Unions = Better Working Conditions”
A stronger union is the foundation of improved welfare, enhanced professionalism, and true representation for all educators.
My vision is to build a district where teachers feel supported, respected, and empowered.
3. CORE PILLARS OF MY LEADERSHIP
Pillar 1: Teacher Welfare & Improved Working Conditions
Advocate for timely processing of allowances, upgrades, and transfers.
Push for improved school environments—supporting adequate teaching and learning materials.
Strengthen communication with district offices to reduce delays in resolving teacher concerns.
Champion fairness in deployment and appointments.
Pillar 2: Stronger Union Structures
Reinforce active section and zonal committees.
Improve coordination between district leadership and school-level representatives.
Build a more responsive grievance-handling system.
Enhance transparency in all union activities and decisions.
Pillar 3: Professional Development & Capacity Building
Lobby for frequent CPD workshops and training sessions.
Support initiatives that improve teacher competence and career growth.
Promote mentoring programs for newly deployed teachers.
Pillar 4: Member Engagement & Unity
Ensure regular meetings, feedback sessions, and outreach programs.
Strengthen unity among members by addressing challenges collectively.
Promote a culture of solidarity—because “Strength in Unity” is the driving force of BETUZ.

Provide clear, consistent updates on union activities.
Uphold integrity, fairness, and responsibility in all duties.
Ensure that every member’s concern is addressed without bias.
