Prairie Crossroads Blues Society
Bunny's Tavern
Today's the BIG DAY! The Painkillers Blues Band kicks off the 8th Annual Prairie Crossroads Blues Fest tonight (Friday, August 7) at 6:00 in the Bunny's Tavern parking lot downtown Urbana. If you play an instrument or sing, and want to join the Painkillers to jam on-stage, bring your instrument (or lovely voice) and let's do it!
Candy Foster and the Shades of Blue will close out tonight's show from 8:30-10:00. Our shared vocalist, Dawn Clark, will be working overtime tonight!
Tomorrow, Saturday, the fun continues when the fun and talented Bubble City Playboys take the stage at 4:00. Andrew Duncanson and Take a Ride, featuring Michael Peloquin, plays from 6:00-8:00. They will be joined onstage by two other great musicians: Gerry Hundt and Lee Kanehira.
The festival will close with Alligator Recording artists Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials playing from 8:30-10:00. Li' Ed is a Blues icon who will WOW you with his energy, fun, and talent.
The Prairie Crossroads Blues Society has worked hard to bring this to you with no admission charge ... they DO need your support and donations though if you look forward to a NINTH Annual Blues Fest! They'll have several ways to win some great gift certificates, a beautiful guitar, and a 50-50 raffle!
This will be a FANTASTIC weekend of the Blues ... we hope you can join us!
