This has to be The Crown Jewel of My Collection so far. Deliver Us From Evil by J.F. Sawyer, taken from the files of Ed and Lorraine Warren. First edition, 1973.
But this isn't just a rare first edition. This is something else entirely.
This copy was personally inscribed and gifted by Ed and Lorraine Warren to Carl and Judy Glatzel... the parents of David Glatzel in September of 1980 at the height of one of the most infamous paranormal cases in history. You know it as The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It.
To have a book signed by BOTH Ed and Lorraine Warren is exceptionally rare. To have one inscribed as a personal gift to a family at the center of their most famous case? There may not be another copy like this on earth.
The number of hands that have held this specific book is probably countable on two hands. Ed Warren. Lorraine Warren. Carl and Judy Glatzel. And now mine.
I'm almost afraid to touch it.
