Book Review of Adam Hawk, US Marshal Volume 1
CS Farabee's gritty novel, Adam Hawk, tells the story of Adam's wild west adventure helping his Uncle Barry free a terrified town from Bruce Clark's gang, a group of cold-blooded killers. At the age of 12, Adam earned a reputation for rallying forces to face off against outlaws. Now, he's 14 and he's got more skills than most men twice his age. He answers Uncle Barry's call for help without hesitation and goes to work picking locks, facing dangerous men, and searching for nitroglycerin to break into a safe. Uncle Barry is at a loss when he arrives in town to find the Sheriff dead. He ends up beaten unconscious and locked up in a jail cell when he questions the gang's right to rule the town. Adam sets him free and the two allies follow clues to solve the mystery of what Bruce Clark is really after. Adam Hawk is an action-packed, gunslinging tale chock full of stare-downs and shoot outs, where enemies are made as quickly as friends and justice comes at a price. With a little help from his friends, Adam will need to use every bit of resourcefulness he has to get the job done. Fans of fast-paced westerns will find this book hard to put down.
