Today, the GRBC staff had the privilege of visiting in downtown Phoenix, located at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication During the visit, Alyse Marrietta (GRBC Interim Director) and Clarice Chiago-Jones (GRTI CEO/General Manager) GRTI Telephone delivered a presentation highlighting our organization’s history and the work we do to serve the community.

Following the presentation, we toured the PBS facilities and even participated in some recording sessions. It was an inspiring day, offering a glimpse into how others are working to uplift communities around us. Thank You for having us Arizona PBS!

🏀✨ What a Saturday! GRBC joined the Phoenix Suns & Phoenix Mercury Foundation, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gila River Indian Community Komatke Branch, where youth from Native communities came together for a day of basketball drills, teamwork, and fun. 💪🏽

GRBC was deeply honored to help Arizona PBS in bringing our community’s story to life through the PBS digital series.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shirley Jackson and Leland Thomas from the Huhugam Heritage Center; Lisa Gover, Tyson Gill, Ashton Lynch, and Cailinn Allen from the Gila River Department of Environmental Quality. As well as Jiivik Siiki and Gabriel Garcia for their invaluable contributions.

Last night, the GRBC team as well as others from across the Valley at the  for an exclusive preview of The American Revolution.

In conjunction with the documentary,  launching a new digital series that asks a compelling question: What was happening in Arizona during the American Revolution? This series will delve into the impact of the Revolutionary War on Native American communities and highlight the Spanish influence in the region during that era. Arizona PBS invited GRBC to assist in identifying local talent and filming locations within our community to help bring this story to life. We’re proud to have played a role in this meaningful project. 

The digital series debuts this Friday on Arizona PBS through their social media platforms.

What an amazing day at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gila River Indian Community - Komatke Branch! 🙌

GRBC teamed up with the Arizona Cardinals for a fun-filled camp that brought together kids from the Sacaton and Casa Blanca branches.

🏈 Highlights:
✔️ Skills & drills with the Cardinals
✔️ Smiles all around
✔️ A generous $20,000 donation from the Cardinals to support the clubs!
