I've had several people ask if tomorrow's THRIVE event will be livestreamed or fully recorded.
The answer is no.
Tomorrow is about survivors, artists, and truth-tellers gathering in the same room and creating something together. Some of the people who attend may not want their faces online. Some may not want their stories attached to their names. Some may need a space where they can exist without worrying about being recorded, reposted, dissected, or turned into content.
As a survivor, I understand that feeling.
The world is not always safe. Tomorrow, we're doing our best to make a small corner of it safer.
There may be a few photos, short video snippets, or consent driven testimonials shared afterward so people can get a sense of what happened. But the event itself is meant for the people who show up and share space together.
The zines and Riot Grrrl spaces that inspired THRIVE were never built around going viral. They weren't designed for algorithms, hot takes, reaction videos, or strangers picking apart moments they never experienced. They were built around finding each other and realizing they weren't alone.
That's the spirit we're trying to honor.
I know some people can't attend because of distance, health, work, finances, or a hundred other reasons. I see you, and I promise we're already talking about ways to bring pieces of THRIVE to a wider audience in the future.
But tomorrow belongs to the people in the room.
