It's that time of year again for IRIS submissions! Do you write prose/poetry, photograph, make music, paint/draw, or any other art form you can think of? Send in your submissions to IRIS: UNC School of Medicine's Art and Literary Journal! If you want ideas of what kinds of things are included, check out our online publication at https://www.med.unc.edu/iris . Don't be shy! Send your works! Hey guys!

Iris is going to have our annual Wine and Design night October 9th this year!!! This is a fun event every year and a great way to unleash your inner artist and relax. Due to the overwhelming response we got last year, this year we have decided to rent out an extra room at the Carrboro Arts center so we have a total of 40 spots!!!!! Because of this, it’s going to be BYOB/ BYOW! We provide all other supplies (canvases, paints, brushes, inspirational photos for your artsy alter ego, painting tables etc…) so you just have to show up and be ready to paint!!!!! As you can see by the pics from last year, it’s a do not miss opportunity!!!

I’ll be releasing the sign up genius for this event at noon tomorrow (Saturday) on Facebook on both the class pages as well as the Iris homepage!! Please be on the lookout and signup! :D

We are getting ready to publish this year's edition of Iris! To celebrate, we will be hosting our Spring Showcase on Monday, April 27th at 5pm in the Children's Hospital lobby.
