3 years ago, the BSPro team began production on a little film with a big dream, Fix.

The dream was to create an original musical film and activate a dormant category of the Academy Awards, giving student artists a chance to showcase their artistic ability and have a shot at one of the most prestigious awards in Entertainment.

We successfully made an 84 minute musical film, with 12 original songs, screened for a week at a theater in Hollywood, and also had a special theatrical premiere/homecoming in Chapel Hill.

Even though the Academy decided not to activate our category for Musical Film, the Fix team still had 5 original works eligible for the Original Song award. While we aren't among the official nominations announced today, we are still immensely proud of the work we've done.

To even be considered was an honor. We've learned so much. We're so grateful for all the love and support we've received. Our team is amazing and we know they'll continue to do great things.

Congratulations to all the nominees this year! We'll be joining you soon.

It was so wonderful to be back in Chapel Hill this weekend; check out this live performance of “Someone” by Michael Kovasala, who plays Cameron Poole, in Linda's Bar and Grill where the song was shot! We’re so grateful to him for performing for us, and to Chris Stamey & Marichi Gupta for accompanying him.
