05/11/2023

While the spring semester and lots of background factors really affected our ability to make new videos, we are still hoping to put out one last video before the year ends

I want to express my gratitude for the work that the kids in this club have put in. We have some special stuff for this episode. It won't all be in one big video since YouTube hates its unverified channels when it comes to uploads

We are shaking things up. All the students you knew for what parts they had, all have a different segment. We are showcasing a few of the clubs with a comedic spin from our very own Dollar Store Deadpool. We made a yearbook advert that still needs edited

When will it be released? As soon as we have time to record anchors, holidays, and weather

We got work ahead of us after state testing is over

Due to today's cancelation of clubs and end of the nine weeks coming up fast, there will not be any news videos for the remainder of March, sadly.

I've been working tirelessly to catch up on grading after having family emergencies last week

I know it's terrible, but February and March have been tough months for the club. Hopefully, after spring break, we can get the ball rolling again and finish the year strong for the news

Lastly, the newspaper is canceled. There hasn't been enough time for it and things haven't been on schedule for it. Due to the recurrent issue, I had no other choice with making this decision. I hate it, but I can't promise a newspaper if it doesn't have all of its components. Therefore, this station will keep its focus on the videos

Due to state competition affecting attendance and this week's schedule, there will not be a news video this week. We haven't had time to get all the segments recorded. We'll start back up next week

Due to time constraints and need for more time to edit, today's news video will come at in the afternoon

We have over 40 minutes of footage, and we try to comb through everything for some quality editing

But this episode is pretty funny, probably my second favorite

Updates

Due to time constraints and some absence, there will not be news or recording this week

Videos will be every other Friday because of time constraints, and we will be diligently working on perfecting each bit and improving the script to provide an informative yet entertaining experience to everyone

We've also decided that due to the new schedule, we have thrown away the Friday podcast because it's not feasible. Plus there's a new podcasting club at the school that has started to do some really cool stuff. In addition, with that in mind, blooper reel will be making a return

Lastly, I have collaborated with the music teacher to record a new theme for every intro to the news. It was a cool experience and we've made something that we think we breathe life into the beginning minute of the news. Once we have time, the members of this club already have a thought in mind what they want to do for an intro video

There is some unfortunate news to share. Due to schedule change happening this week, there will not be a news video this Friday. We will be using our club time on Wednesday to welcome new members and what we can add to the videos. On top of this, due to the decreased amount of time we have to meet, videos will only come out twice a month and each of these videos will have 3 teacher spotlights each instead of the standard 1 spotlight per video

We want to put out as much as we can, but this is what we are able to make do with and we are fortunate to still have this opportunity to work this product that the club itself has enjoyed these past few months

I would pull students for remaining bits like I had the last semester, but that is no longer able to be done with my current responsibilities at large

Got tons of news to share on the news station as we progress

Almost half of the grant materials are in, but I got the major ones

Earlier this week we got our new streaming camera that comes with HD quality. The app for it has allowed us to make for more custom features

This week's episode had some hiccups and editing is noticeably different. Had to settle for capcut while waiting for Adobe premier pro to come in. The handheld wireless mics came in on Wednesday and the mixer came in today. With that, I've been able to configure everything on OBS so that we can now start isolating noise when recording. Unfortunately, we have to wait until after break to see the mics in action since we're so close to break

But the technology isn't the only thing, we're adding a new series. Normally we just have news and newspaper. But we'll be making videos that comment on the making of the recordings and that's where the bloopers might end up going to from now on

Didn't wanna give away too much of a new logo so I overloaded it with effects so that the real thing looks spectacular

Anyways, I've finished splicing together our footage to become the official commercial for CMS's Tiger Vault

Video premieres tomorrow morning during the time when the school news is played

Also, I am possibly going to be making a new logo for the news

Hi everyone,

I know there's been radio silence here, but things have been busy and we haven't had clubs for 2 weeks which really affected everything.

But never fear, we got a whopper of a video tomorrow

It's our Thanksgiving special with our normal news bulletin, more puns, and 2 special segments premiering.

What are those segments? Tomorrow is National Stand Up Against Bullying Day and we have a video for that. We have also filmed a commercial for the Tiger Vault that will also be showing

Lastly, we have made the decision to cancel interviews with football team and volleyball team due to the issue of not having had clubs for 2 weeks. However, we are moving forward with filming interviews with the cheerleaders. As well, Issue 9 of the newspaper will be available as a digital file for students on Google Classroom. I will email teachers a copy of the file as a pdf. Some of my students will be passing out a fun brain puzzle to all the classrooms as part of the Thanksgiving festivity
