CASTING CALL

We’re looking for actors who are comfortable working from a prompt and scene objective, then improvising funny, believable moments.

On August 8 and 9 in Geauga County, we’ll be filming a mockumentary about a best man who discovers a secret about the bride that tests his relationship with the groom and threatens the wedding.

If you’d like to be considered, please complete one of the audition prompts below and send your video submission to [email protected] by July 7.

Please begin your submission by slating:

* Your name
* Your age
* A brief overview of your acting experience
* Any improv experience you have

Then choose one of the prompts below. Have another person read the prompt line from off camera, then respond however you think your character would. Feel free to improvise beyond the prompt.

We’re looking for actors who can create the funniest possible scene while keeping it grounded and believable.

Prompt 1:
“Stop, stop, stop! You weren’t supposed to cut that cake! It’s a display cake.”

Prompt 2:
“Quick! Here comes my dad. Just pretend you actually wrote that book about zoology.”

Prompt 3:
“Okay, okay. You convinced me. The moon landing happened. But what’s a conspiracy theory you actually believe in?”

Prompt 4:
“If you’re not my sibling, then who are you?”
