You have to start somewhere, but the most important thing is that you start.

One of my best and worst qualities is that I can be impulsive and when I have an idea, I’m determined to find a way to make it happen.

Someday I’m going to look back at this year and laugh at how many flowers I grew. I’ll get a good chuckle out of the fact that there were probably just as many weeds as there were flowers. But when I really look back, I’ll remember that it was just a beautiful mess.

I know that because I look back on last year when I decided to throw seeds in some trays and start growing cut flowers. It was the most ridiculous idea because I had nowhere to put them and ended up with a patio full of flower pots and it was honestly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

I think a lot of times we think we have to be perfect. We see others thriving and think that we can just skip the messy chapters, but it’s part of the process.

So while I know it’s not perfect, I’m so excited to wrap up my first full year of actual flower farming. I know that it’s just going to keep getting better. I’m so thankful for having such tremendous support and trust in me to continue growing and bringing fresh cut flowers to our community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and watching this beautiful mess unfold.

I’m so sorry to do this, but with the high temps I won’t be stocking the flower stand this weekend.

The high temps won’t keep our flowers as fresh and we want you to be able to enjoy your flowers for as long as possible!

I MAY consider doing a pop-up on Tuesday after the long weekend. Would that be something you’d be interested in?
