At RunPlayExplore, we help homeschooling families create their own unit studies! Join our group! I’m Kaitlyn, a former teacher and homeschool mom of three.

I’m married to Andrew, and we live in beautiful South Carolina. I overuse emojis and exclamation points! Our three kiddos were born in 2015, 2018, and 2020. The oldest two live with Type 1 Diabetes. Our 8 year old is determined, silly, creative, and she makes friends wherever she goes. She loves being outdoors and hiking. We love having this little firecracker in our family. We celebrated with a spontaneous trip to Great Wolf Lodge tacked onto our history trip to Williamsburg!

In less than 10 minutes, I contacted both of my senators to let them know my concerns. I’m pretty sure I made up some words (terrorization?). You can see it’s not polished or professional, all that matters is that you call! All of our voices together DO have an impact.

Y’all, I’m literally still in my pajamas with a sleeping baby attached to me. I do not enjoy being on camera but I wanted to show what it’s like in case you have never call but want to. This is so easy. It is. You can write a script if you’re nervous, or even use the Five Calls app for a script all ready for you. Today I had two sticky notes in front of me with bullet points I didn’t want to forget. What’s happening in America is not normal and it’s not ok. Please please please ask your representatives to do something. 🇺🇸

We are celebrating a whole decade of having this amazing little boy (young man?!) in our lives. Our family is so lucky to have such a helpful, kind, and funny guy as a part of it. He cares for everyone, is always looking for a way to help others, and is eager to explore and learn new things. He loves reading and imaginative play, and we love our sweet first boy. Happy Birthday!
