Sup y’all? It’s ya boy TMB and I’m about explain the way I pick my beats and acapellas for mashups.
Sometimes, I get an idea of 2 songs to mix together and then I’ll write if down on a list.
Other times, I’ll just be experimenting with sounds of pre existing beats and I’ll use them,
When I pick the vocals I try to choose songs where the tempo matches.
For this specific remixed I used an AI library called Udio to create a 70s styled soul sample. The sample was singing about selling narcotics so I figured it would match up with the song 10 Crack Commandments.
The beat samples at about 120BPM and Biggies song at 84BPM so I set it between at 110.
This is why and how I chose Biggie for this remix.
