A Digital Exhibit 🌴🌳
“Rooted: An Ecology of Gullah Geechee Memory Along the Coast” produced by the Park Institute of America and the National Parks Conservation Association
As Musicians who consider ourselves to be Kulcha Bearers, Griots, Djelis, Storytellers and Contemporary Gullah Soundscape Artists it’s deeply personal to us that we always honor the culture in our craft. Truly grateful to be a part of this amazing work.
Our music, lyrics and visuals carry living traditions and allow us to continue from the root and bear new branches.
The tangible gold woven in our artistry is Water 💧 Land 🌱Rice 🌾 Indigo 🌀Cotton ⚪️Sugarcane🎍Sweetgrass 🧺 and memories throughout timelines, portals, galaxies and those things which we do not even understand.
