We stopped by Rotolo’s Craft & Crust in Summerville, and here’s a special to keep on your radar: $7.99 Calzone Wednesday!

Here’s what we enjoyed:
🥬 Brussel Sprouts roasted with bacon, parmesan cheese, garlic butter, balsamic reduction
🍴 Boudin balls battered and fried pepperjack boudin balls with a side of ranch
🥟 Italian Club Calzone stuffed with marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami, bacon
🍕 Jalapeño Popper pizza on classic crust topped with alfredo sauce, blackened chicken, bacon, cheddar, and jalapeños

We had a delicious mix of flavors on the table! Such a fun spot to gather, share a few dishes, and enjoy a casual meal out!

Little moments from New York City. 🗽🍎

The skyline, the architecture, the busy sidewalks—there’s so much to take in here. Places you’ve seen countless times in movies - Familiar places that feel different when you’re finally standing in front of them, looking up instead of through a screen.

One of my favorite things about traveling is having these everyday moments to revisit afterward. A passing view, a stretch of street, a few seconds of a place that made you pause—small pieces that bring you right back.

We stopped in for dinner during our fall travels, and the beautiful seasonal decorations made the evening feel extra special. There’s something so lovely about finding a restaurant that embraces the season!

The fall decor deserves a moment of its own! If you love weaving a little autumn magic into your travels, this is a spot to add to your list.

Our dinner lineup included:

Charming storefronts, historic homes, and leaves beginning to turn—this New York town is such a lovely place to slow down and wander. Beyond its baseball fame, there’s plenty of small-town charm to fall in love with.

Take a stroll down Main Street, browse the local shops, and make time for a quiet moment by Otsego Lake. Sometimes the sweetest stops on a road trip are the ones that invite you to linger. ✨

On August 4, 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were murdered inside their home. Lizzie was accused, tried, and ultimately acquitted—but the questions surrounding that day continue.

The views, the mist, that unforgettable roar of Niagara Falls.

📍 Niagara Falls State Park | New York

A few tips for your visit:

• Explore the overlooks: Prospect Point, Goat Island, Luna Island, and Terrapin Point offer different views of the falls.
• Wear comfortable shoes: There’s plenty of walking, and misty areas can be slippery.
• Bring a light rain jacket: Protect your phone or camera from the spray, too!
• Get closer: Consider Maid of the Mist or Cave of the Winds—check seasonal hours and tickets ahead.
• Plan parking: Lot 1 is convenient for Maid of the Mist; Lot 2 for Cave of the Winds.
• Allow a few hours: Add extra time for attractions, or use the scenic trolley to get around.
• Visit early or on a weekday: Especially helpful for avoiding longer attraction waits.

A cheesesteak stop at Uncle Gus’ Steaks inside Reading Terminal Market…

The market was already on our list of places to explore, so stopping for food felt like part of the experience: wandering between the counters, taking in all the sights and smells, and deciding what we couldn’t leave without trying.

Uncle Gus’ keeps its menu focused on cheesesteaks, served on house-made bread. It was such a fun way to add a classic Philly food stop to our day, with plenty more of the market to explore afterward.

If your Myrtle Beach plans include a serious seafood night, save Crab Daddy’s!

🦀 Crab Daddy's Seafood 🦀

We visited this seafood buffet in nearby Murrells Inlet and made our way through plates of crab legs, lobster, fried oysters, and more. The pineapple drink arrived in an actual pineapple with a little umbrella, which felt exactly right for a beach trip. 🍍

There’s plenty beyond seafood, too, plus a dessert buffet that deserved its own trip back. The underwater decor and animated sea creatures make the whole dinner feel like part of the vacation, especially if you’re going with family.

Come hungry, leave time to wander the buffet, and save room for cake.

Crab Daddy’s is at 3043 US-17 Business in Murrells Inlet, just south of Myrtle Beach. 🐚
