There’s a lot to say about feeling comfortable in your own skin.

But I won’t get too deep here. It’s winter and being cooped up inside led to turning up the heat (almost too high lol) and pretending it wasn’t 7 degrees outside.

Of course I had to take the dog out after this so the warmth didn’t last long. A distant memory really.

Fostering Charlie has been the best experience.

How have the last 3 weeks gone by so fast? Now that we know his temperament and his neck is almost fully healed, we’ll start the processes of finding this good boy his forever home.

We knew fostering wasn’t going to be easy, but we didn’t know it was going to be so emotionally hard. Charlie has far exceeded our expectations. He loves to cuddle, go on long walks, loves an audience when he’s doing his business, LOVES food, water & treats.

After three weeks, we finally heard him bark for the first time while out on a walk last night. You can tell his interest has evolved and he’s eager to play with other dogs. We’re looking forward to play dates (hopefully) soon.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering a pet, I highly recommend doing it! This is such a mutually rewarding experience. We love you, Charlie! 🖤

This good boy is on his way to a new normal. Filled with lots of treats, walks, and so much love!

We don’t know much about this lads past. He doesn’t have a name (YET!) and we don’t know his age. We do know that animal control picked him up and brought him to where he received surgery to remove a collar that has embedded into his neck. He’s also severely malnourished.
•
We were asked if we still wanted to foster him given his wounds, lack of info, and need for constant care. Our response? Heck yes! Get in the car, you’re coming home!
•
Since this afternoon, he’s eaten half a bone and lots of treats, had a bath like a champ, walked around the block like a true gentleman, and slept both at our feet and in our laps. After dinner he let out the biggest sigh and laid back down. Now snoring at ‘s feet, I think he’s had a pretty good day 🖤

This sweet boy still needs a name and we are open to suggestions! What do you think we should name him? @ Kansas City, Missouri

I’m forever grateful to be with someone who pushes me past my fears, is extremely patient, and gives the best hugs when I need them most.

This was such a good day. We were unbelievably hot and sweaty walking around Venice. Each time it got too uncomfortable to stopped in a shop or restaurant for a bit of A/C (which wasn’t the easiest to find if you know Venice).
•
Everyone keeps saying things will never be the same after this. That’s a bold statement that can mean something completely different for everyone.
•
The unknown is scary. Of course there are things we’d all like to tweak, and here’s an opportunity to do that. There’s so much hope in the unknown if we’re willing to put in the effort to make positive change.
•
What change do you hope to see going forward?
