Spend the day with us this Monday, December 22nd at Five Loaves Cafe Mount Pleasant and help support Danielle Martin, a beloved former team member and friend. A large portion of proceeds from dine-in and takeout for the entire day will go directly toward her medical expenses as she fights fiercely against cancer. Let’s surround Danielle with the love she deserves! 🫶🏻

POV: It’s 1986, the 9th Annual Cooper River Bridge Run, and the fog is so thick that two accidents caused a traffic jam on the Silas Pearman Bridge that delayed the start of the race.

About 300 to 500 runners were stuck in traffic when the race started, and a few even jumped out of their cars to join the race from where they were stuck. This shows the dedication of Bridge Run participants from the race’s very beginning!

On November 1, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) recipients will not receive their monthly benefits. All of the residents that we serve, at Joseph Floyd Manor and Brighton Place, rely on this assistance to purchase their monthly groceries.
Removing this safety net leaves these friends of ours in a very scary position- the possibility of not having any food to eat.
Please, if you can, help us bridge the gap. We have an Amazon wishlist full of nonperishable items that you can send directly, or you can donate on our website. Every little bit helps and goes directly to providing food to those in need.
