I have finished up the 8’ 6 weight multi piece rod. Overall tube is about 26”, so it is a little longer than some airlines allow for carry on but I don’t think they would say anything with it strapped to a day pack. Filament epoxy ferrules. Taper is what I could work into the ferrule stock I had on hand. Reel seat is made from aluminum from Lowe’s and the grip is champagne cork.

So as I build more and more nodeless rods because I have a ton of leftover bamboo, I am learning some critical processes...

So as I build more and more nodeless rods because I have a ton of leftover bamboo, I am learning some critical processes. The first is squaring the edges of the strips so that the clamps can get better purchase. Next is using clamps better than binder clips that I had previously used.

I tried to salvage the grip on this 7’ Wonderod but it was a lost cause. Budget rehab. Going to regrip and put some new guides with the correct spacing. Also cover some cosmetic issues related to a previous encounter with pliers
