Your child’s not thinking how much you weigh on the scale. Your best friend isn’t thinking about your running speed. When you cross the finish line NO ONE says “you could’ve done better”. The negative things you put inside your own head needs to stop.

Your child is watching you because you are the hero. And you will be the reason they grow up wanting to chase big things. Your best fire is admiring you, thinking how lucky she is to have someone chase big dreams! When you cross the finish line, no matter what your time is, you’ve inspired someone else.

Being nervous is a good thing, you’re courageous. Don’t let that stop you from doing something BIG!! 🥹🫶🏻

12 DAYS AWAY FROM MY FIRST MARATHON WITH !!!!! 🫶🏻❤️ I’m excited, I’m nervous, I have no idea what to expect, but I’m lucky to be DOING!!

I’ve learned a lot about myself and running during this journey. Anything after 13 miles seems daunting and impossible to me in the beginning stages. I remember my first 14 miles, 15 miles, 16 miles. Every time the distance got longer I got nervous.

But I know being nervous means you’re putting yourself out there and trying. When 14 seemed impossible and then the next thing you know you’re doing 20! Impossible is what we put inside our heads to protect ourselves. I’ve learned that there is nothing in this life that cannot be yours.

I’ve failed so many runs, I’ve had runs where I couldn’t hit my paces. I’ve had runs where I wasn’t feeling it, but I also have had runs where I did hit my paces! I had runs where I felt incredible, and this is all part of the journey! Good and bad. Highs and lows. Ups and down. I am human.

If you have any marathon advice for me, I’d love to hear it!🫶🏻 every run in the end made me stronger, and brought me here. Even the failed ones!

HYROX TAMPA VENUE MAP AND LAPS!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! What day are you racing, what division, and is this your first one?! SO EXCITED!!

Standard competition is different than relay, let’s talk standard.

KM 1-8 GO IN THE THIRD TIME YOU SEE THE IN!
Just know you are going to quickly pass the inn once you leave through the out zone, that does count as passing it once!!

Your sleds are gonna be your standard four times. Down back down and back. One length of the sleds is 12.5 meters. So since you need to do 50 Meters, that’s 12.5 x4 =50!!

Your farmer carries are going to be two laps! Don’t miss a lap!!

you can only check in 90 minutes before your start time. If you want to enter the venue before 90 minutes, you will go to the spectator check-in, show them your race ticket and ID, and you can spectate with your athlete ticket for the day of your race!!

Bag drop is near the warm up zone, bag drop is for all competitors, and it is free if you are a competitor. There is a bathroom right near bagdrop near the warm-up area!

any other questions that you have, ask below!!

2023 to 2026…it’s been a crazy journey, but I remember when the goal was to just finish my first hyrox. I remember after 9 solo races those words came out of my mouth…..”am I a runner?”. Someone with no running background, someone who started that could hardly run a mile. My first mile was 14 minutes. My KMS were 7-8 minutes, it’s proof that you can do anything if you never stop.

When I was 20 years old I tore 3 ligaments in my knee. My ACL, MCL, and meniscus. I had a pretty rough surgery, and the surgery was unsuccessful, so I had to have a second on. It was traumatizing at such a young age. It made me stop doing things I loved. Like running, cheering, dancing, snowboarding. Hyrox was the first time I ran again after that surgery. I can’t live my life in fear of what’s happened to me, and I realize that this was the biggest comeback of my life. 🩷

Back home reflecting on Hyrox Boston. In 2023 I did my first Hyrox competition and the goal was to simply cross the finish line. The girl that was running 7-8 minute kms never could imagine I’d be in this situation today. I should never be upset about my finish time because the truth is I’m living in answered prayers. At one point in my life I just wanted to run one mile without stopping, and now I’m trying to do a Hyrox in under an hour.

This has been a goal of mine for over a year, it stinks saying I still haven’t achieved this after a year. But it makes me human. If I always shared with you guys all the wins, all the good, it wouldn’t be realistic. If I never told you about my fails or I never failed I would be lying. This is part of the sport, but I also want to remind you of my goals when I first started. They were small. But they matter just as much as this goal. Because without that goal of just crossing the finish line once….I wouldn’t have the goal of doing a Hyrox in under and hour. 🥹

HYROX BOSTON!!!! 1:03 finish time!

I remember when the goal was to be sub 70, now we’re going sub 60! Sometimes I need to take a step back and think about how far I’ve come and still be grateful for an incredible finish time! I find myself guilty of being negative over things I can’t control.

I put myself out there and tried my best, this is still a win. I crossed the finish line, it’s a WIN!!! When I look back and think of my journey. Every race has a purpose, a lesson, and a reason. The delay stinks, but it will feel so wonderful when it happens!!

Instead of saying here’s to the next one, I’m saying I’m PROUD OF THIS ONE! My body got me through another hyrox and on that note I just completed my 26th hyrox!! I’m thankful for this journey🫶🏻

HYROX BOSTON 1:03!! I know you’re waiting for what I have to say. Another attempt at a sub 60 race, I’m not going to say another fail, but another time it didn’t happen for me.

I really tried my hardest last night, I just couldn’t keep up. I didn’t feel my normal spark I usually do, I couldn’t hold my pace, BUT I did try and I did push as hard as I could until we crossed the finish line.

Putting your life out on social media does mean people are watching you, and I know people are cheering for me. It’s hard for me to think I’m not disappointing all of us, but I’m reminded of my own words. “Just because it has not happened yet, doesn’t mean it won’t. It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN. When you are very close to achieving something sometimes you’ll be tested by the journey. If you stop now that’s where you fail, but if you keep coming back it’s bound to happen”.

In DC I felt like an absolute animal out there, in Boston I felt the opposite. I will never fake how I feel on social media. I will always share my truths in hopes it helps someone else and reminds everyone I am human. My next Hyrox is not for some time so I can spend the proper time I need to prep, run, and come back to get that sub 60!!

Thank you as always for supporting me, your voices carry me through my races and remind me to not be so hard on myself. You guys are really such beautiful blessings to my life. 🩷
