📢 TREND REPORT 📢

Just a few things I’m noticing after delivering monthly metrics reports for my clients —

⚡️ Engagement is skyrocketing for carousels. While my clients reels are still performing well, the numbers are trending way higher for carousels with infographics + value-packed content. BOTH are important for a well-rounded strategy but I found it interesting how much more carousels are being favored right now 🤔

⚡️ COMMUNITY is everything. Making your audience feel like they’re part of the club or in on a secret keeps them invested in your brand and coming back for more. Find your people + serve them well.

⚡️ Messaging and providing value is always important (SMMs won’t shut up about it 😍) but seeing big results for much of my clients educational content. You should be providing so much value that it feels like “wait, should I be giving this all away for free?” Positioning yourself as the expert is key in converting followers to paying customers.

Just because one person does social media one way, doesn’t mean that’s the way for you.

📌 SAVE this post for when you need to come back to it!

Strategizing for YOUR brand should be specific. This space can get *noisy* and it’s overwhelming when you’re trying to connect with your ideal audience.

Trust in your expertise! Here’s what I mean:

As a social media manager - trust that you have the skill and ability to execute a good plan for your clients. What another SMM is doing for their client isn’t BETTER or the only way. If their content starts to cloud your own creativity, the mute button is your friend.

Same goes for business owners running their own socials! Jumping on a trend isn’t always foolproof, and copying someone else’s content is never a good idea. What sets YOUR brand apart? Why is YOUR story needed? Who need to hear what YOU have to say? Speak to that.

I’m feeling a little spicy this Friday 🌶️📣

Now before you start sending out a bunch of WILD content, let’s talk about it. 👉🏼

✨ Perfectionism is an illness, and I say this with love (because I have it too 😅). But if you’re stressing over things being exactly perfect 100% of the time, ONE that’s exhausting and two you’re missing out on essential progress for your brand awareness. While you’re not posting consistently because nothing is “good enough”, your audience is forgetting about you.

✨ By worrying about whether or not you’ll “scare off” certain groups of people with your content, you’re actually failing to align yourself with YOUR people. If it’s not something wildly offensive or insanely off-brand - you’ll be fine. You can’t please everyone.

✨ Social media, while a great marketing tool of course, was created originally for community and to be fun. When things become so insanely overproduced, we lose the message sometimes. It can become contrived / unattainable and perfectionism wins once again. When your audience sees you having fun - they can relax and have fun too. They can more easily interact with your brand, they know there’s a human on the other end.

Sometimes it’s not black and white. Perfect vs non-perfect. Sometimes it’s about having fun. Sometimes it’s about being vulnerable. Sometimes you just have to say f*ck it and hit post.
