Originally from England, Mikey Lee is proud to be an award winning international DJ & Entertainer with all round talent for live music. After graduating performing arts school for musical theatre in 2003, Mikey set his sights on becoming a professional entertainer and chose the Spanish island of Tenerife to begin what would turn out to be the kickstart of an exciting and rewarding 15 year career.
In his early career, Mikey started out as a one man stage show, not only vocally presenting and delivering all genres of live music, but using light observational humour to encourage audience participation to keep his audience totally engaged.
As a result of his consistent contribution to his live entertainment efforts, Mikey was nominated for his first award in September of 2010. After 8 weeks of phone voting by thousands of public votes, Mikey Lee became entertainer of the year in Tenerife and receiving more awards in the years to follow.
Following his success and fast growing popularity, Mikey was approached by radio and became the new voice of his very own morning show. He discussed topical talking points, interviewed music personalities, and executed live phone interviews; picking only the best playlists to keep listeners tuned in day to day where his love of djing naturally grew and set the path for a new future in music.
After moving back to the U.K, Mikey went for a dream job as a cruise director for a London based cruise management company, over the next year he was put in-charge of all aspects of guest interaction and live entertainment throughout his very own ship giving him the skills he needed to one day own his own entertainment company.
Soon realizing his love for live djing and performing, he moved to the only place he knew he could pursue his new career of becoming a professional DJ, a place he could learn the skills necessary to keep a dance floor moving & current, The White Island and Dj capital of Europe, Ibiza !
After two years and four resident spots later and gaining the invaluable experience needed to become a successful DJ it was time to take a leap and put his dj skills and knowledge to the test with his next destination, Miami Florida! Mikey became the newest Pro Dj on board one of the biggest known travel companies, Carnival Cruise Lines!
While traveling the world and working on board Mikey met the love of his life Katelin. They decided that cruise ships was no longer a path they needed to pursue and moved to California. In California Mikey auditioned for weeks in the Hollywood location of “HQ Gastropub” after beating out other DJ’s he earned the role of resident video DJ at Huntington Beach’s new hotspot for music. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays nights he brought in a crowd by playing variety of music from, Pop, Rock, Motown, Hip-hop and all genres in between.
Deciding to settle in Katelin’s hometown of Charleston, South Carolina and setting up his own entertainment company, Mikey Lee is now performing all over the holy city and has become the go to Dj for brides, bars and events.
A big part of Mikey’s growing success is truly believing no crowd is too big or to small, whether it's your favorite music for you wedding ceremony & reception, singing on a bar terrace in Ibiza or performing on board some of the world's largest cruise ships, the outcome will always be the same, a fun filled event to look back on for years to come!
