The incident was caught on a doorbell camera as Fahmy was walking to a dentist appointment during a thunderstorm. A lightning strike hit near him, knocking him to the ground. Somehow, he remained conscious, got back up, called for help, spent the night in the hospital, and was released without any major injuries or burn marks. Talk about a miracle. 🙏🏾⚡️

This man went from driving DoorDash and Uber to help pay the bills while chasing his football dream… to paying $100 out of his own pocket just for a chance to attend a CFL tryout. 🚗📦🏈

Think about that for a second.

No guaranteed contract.

No guarantee anyone would notice him.

No guarantee he’d ever make a roster.

Just faith, hard work, and betting on himself. 💪🏾

That $100 tryout eventually led to a CFL opportunity with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, a Grey Cup championship, CFL All-Star honors, and now a spot on the Cincinnati Bengals’ 53-man NFL roster.

Target removed a children’s costume called the “Kids’ Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown Halloween Costume” after critics argued the design and marketing imagery resembled blackface and racist minstrel-show caricatures. Following the backlash, Target apologized and admitted the costume should never have been approved for sale.

According to authorities, the mother was removing her infant from the vehicle when the suspect approached, demanded her keys, and got into the car. Hearing her screams for help, Mykel reportedly ran outside, pulled the suspect from the vehicle, and wrestled him to the ground. 👏🏾💪🏾

Drew Owens, the North Carolina man accused of sending threats involving multiple Charlotte-area schools and allegedly outlining school shooting plans, has been released from jail after a judge reduced his bond from $200,000 to $75,000. He was released just days before students returned to class.

And the reactions online have been intense.

Many parents are saying they don’t understand how someone accused of making threats against schools could be released before trial. Others are questioning what changed between the time the bond was raised to $200,000 and when it was later reduced. 😳

What’s fueling even more debate is that the publicly reported court documents don’t appear to explain why the bond was lowered. That lack of explanation has left many people frustrated and searching for answers.

Philadelphia said ENOUGH with the Chucky mask! 😳🔪👹

Social media has been going crazy over surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts of a man in a creepy Chucky-style mask allegedly running around Center City, approaching random people, chasing pedestrians and trying to scare them.

But this apparently wasn’t just somebody trying to make a funny Halloween prank video. Police say the man allegedly asked one woman, “Are you ready to die?” while chasing her — and she was injured trying to get away. 😳

And then there’s Jameka Wilson… instead of running, she reportedly turned around and said, “Let’s fight.” 😭🥊

She kicked him in the chest and got away.

The internet reactions have been ALL over the place:

😂 Some people are joking that Chucky finally met somebody who wasn’t scared.

👏🏾 Others are praising the woman who stood her ground.

😡 But plenty of people are saying there’s nothing funny about chasing unsuspecting people and making them believe they’re in danger.

Police have since identified the suspect as 22-year-old Zymire Hughes and issued an arrest warrant. Authorities believe he may have fled Pennsylvania.

Gary, Indiana has been in the dark for DAYS… and social media is asking, “WHY AREN’T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS?” 😳⚡️

Let’s clear up one thing first: the entire city isn’t completely without power, but thousands of Gary residents have been without electricity since the August 11 storms, and some are facing a potential wait until August 25 — nearly TWO WEEKS. 😳

A powerful derecho with winds around 99 MPH ripped through Northwest Indiana, destroying trees, power lines and hundreds of utility poles. Gary was hit especially hard, with residents dealing with no AC, spoiled food, businesses unable to operate, schools being closed and people struggling just to charge their phones.

And THAT’S where the reactions are coming from.

Some people are saying:

“How is this not national news?!” 👀

Others are asking why it has taken so long to restore power when this is happening in an American city.

And then there are residents saying they’ve felt like Gary gets overlooked whenever something happens.

Meanwhile, NIPSCO says this isn’t about neglecting Gary — they’re dealing with massive infrastructure damage, including hundreds of damaged utility poles, and hundreds of crews are working around the clock.

So maybe the bigger question isn’t whether there has been any coverage — because there has.

It’s whether Gary has received the level of national attention this situation deserves.
