#2 Winfield advances to the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission Class AAA State Championships title game series with a 9-0 win over #1 John Marshall! The Generals are seeking their fourth straight state championship tomorrow.

#3 Herbert Hoover kept its season alive with a 5-2 win over #5 Keyser in an elimination game. The Lady Huskies will face John Marshall on Thursday at 10:30 am with the last spot in the title game series on the line! Photos courtesy the WVSSAC.

Cabell Midland pitcher Drea Watts threw a perfect game in a 9-0 win over No. 8 Jefferson in the first game of the Class AAAA state tournament on Tuesday. Watts struck out 11 of 15 batters faced, and none of the balls hit into play moved past the infield.
