10 years ago I lost a friend and business partner. He was a brilliant young man with a wonderful heart. Brad Cooper was almost certainly going to do and be something big... but his time was cut short.

I write this for two reasons. First, that Brad not be forgotten. Second, to remind all of you to never take your people for granted. As often as possible, let them know how much they mean to you. You'll never regret smothering them with gratitude.

Charleston lost an important member of the music community yesterday when the co-founder of Kinetic HiFi and TheFix.fm Brad Cooper was killed in a car wreck on Kiawah Island.
