Meet Denise, Operations Manager at CH+D.

As Operations Manager at Charleston Home + Design, Denise Thompson works across operations, finance, sales, events, and human resources to help the organization and its team perform at their best. Over the past six years, she has become a trusted resource for both leadership and employees, helping navigate day-to-day operations while supporting larger organizational initiatives.

With a people-first, data-informed approach, Denise focuses on employee development, hiring, performance, team effectiveness, and building systems that help people succeed. She collaborates closely with every department—from editorial and marketing to accounting, vendors, and clients—to improve processes, implement new technology, analyze performance, and support the continued growth of Charleston Home + Design's print publications, digital platforms, and signature events.

What Denise enjoys most is the human side of operations. She believes strong organizations are built through clear communication, thoughtful leadership, and giving people the tools they need to do their best work. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active, exploring Charleston, spending time with family and friends, and continually learning new skills.
