Okay, so apparently I’ve bought a lot of books over the last 6 months…. I took some time last night to organize and put away, and WOW.

Whoops I guess?

I may need to put myself on a little book buying ban for a second because I really need to get on my reading for a minute.

Quick little photo dump of

Honestly, what a great time. In all, I scored 20 books, which I am super excited about! I cannot wait to share that with you all.

I also got to attend some great events. I will say, this is an event that it’s drastically easier to go to with a group so you can divide and conquer. There is so much happening in such a short amount of time that you can’t be in multiple places at once. So, if you have a group where multiple people can wait in different lines, you’ll have a better time for sure.

Also, it’s a jam packed day, so bring snacks and water!

I had such a lovely time, I finally got to meet in person, which was so exciting for me!

So I did some fun travel recently and went back to visit my family in Michigan. Of course, when I was in the airport I had to stop and check out their little book section and it’s sooooooo cute. Like, are you joking?

Alright nerds, I thought you would all appreciate this. My boyfriend had this commissioned for me and I’m absolutely obsessed. How stunning!!!!

Also, we are on episode 13 of The Vampire Lestat! I am having so much fun with this book, and every episode gets juicier and juicier.

Okay, I absolutely loved the audiobook, so I had to treat myself to a cute little special edition. I cannot waitttt for Brimstone!

I don’t know if anyone is in the same boat, but I really think I’m going to need a reread before the next book comes out. Or at least a good skim because it’s been a minute and I mostly remember vibes at this point.

Big fan of book clubs and great friends.

Lowkey, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this month’s book. I just thought it was a tad too cheesy for me personally. But, they can’t all be favorites and I’m excited for next months read!

Hello! Who am I? Well, I am your resident book nerd here at Barely Bookish. I made this site originally to post my own short stories. But, as it’s grown, we’ve branched into writing prompt and tips to book reviews. Hopefully, we’ll see it expand more as we continue to grow!

I am a twenty-one year old sort-of adult named Rachel who enjoys writing and reading. I basically started writing stories as soon as I learned to read. While I am not yet published (self or otherwise) I have hope that one day I will be. Of course, you all will be the first to know!
