Spotlighting another incredible leader in our Young Guns Class of 2026 ⭐

Meet Sean Hornbuckle, financial advisor at Edward Jones and house democratic leader for the West Virginia Legislature. Raised on Doulton Avenue in Huntington, Sean credits his eclectic childhood, strong community and entrepreneurial mother for shaping the perspective and creativity he brings to both finance and public service.

From coaching youth sports for more than 20 years to advocating for underserved communities, Sean’s work is rooted in connection, compassion and progress. Whether he’s helping clients plan for their future or working to move West Virginia forward, his mission is the same: listen, serve and build something better.

Having spent more than 14 years at Peoples Bank, she has risen through the ranks, led through challenges and helped guide the institution with clarity and purpose.

Beyond her role, Katie gives back in countless ways—volunteering, mentoring, coaching and serving on boards across the region. Rooted in her love for West Virginia and inspired daily by her family, she leads with kindness, grit and a desire to pay it forward.

Meet Andria Alvarez Wymer, director of strategic initiatives and planning at Energy Transportation, LLC and Applied Construction Solutions. From growing up on construction jobsites to carving out her own place in the family business, Andria’s journey is grounded in hard work, humility and a passion for giving back.

Inspired by her parents and driven to add value every day, she now leads major strategic efforts, supports her team and serves her community through roles with ABC West Virginia, GO-WV, the WVU Cancer Institute Leadership Council and more.

Her story is one of determination, purpose and honoring the legacy that shaped her—all while building a better future for her children and her state.
