FHSAA FOOTBALL RECLASSIFICATION

Here are the new district classifications for the Sun Preps-area football teams. Wellen Park will make its debut, as expected, in Class 3A. These districts are tentative and the appeals window is open until Dec. 15. Teams are asked not to begin scheduling until after the FHSAA declares the districts final on Dec. 17. We'll do a more complete story after everything is set. At the moment, the FHSAA is listing teams/schools that either no longer play football or have announced their intention to leave for the SSAA (Lemon Bay). So take these with a whole shaker of salt at the moment:

Charlotte's girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season in memorable fashion, knocking off previously undefeated Bishop Verot on Saturday in the Fish Tank.
