Last week our founder/CEO and our youngest creative celebrated turning 41 & 14 respectively. We love capturing memories for everyone on their special days so we have to capture our own memories, even if we do it all ourselves.

Here at TyChi Productions, we don’t take it lightly we are literally our ancestors wildest dreams. 🥹

Juneteenth is a relatively new national holiday, but it’s not new to most African-Americans.
🖤❤️💚

In 1863, during the American Civil War, Pres. Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared more than three million enslaved people living in the Confederate states to be free.

More than two years would pass, however, before the news reached African Americans living in Texas. It was not until Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, that the state’s residents finally learned that slavery had been abolished.

The formerly enslaved immediately began to celebrate with prayer, feasting, song, and dance.

We do all things in excellence in homage and respect to all of our ancestors who didn’t have the opportunity. ✊🏽

There are a few words that come to mind when I think about Martin Luther King Jr.

Fearless. Bold. Strong. But Faith is top on the list.

MLK had to have strong faith in order to be the bold leader he was. As a business owner/goal digger or dreamer that should resonate with you.

How many times have you just had to have faith to launch your dream or finish that project? How scary was it to have faith to see yourself at the grand opening when you had no idea how you were going to even open? How terrifying was it to see yourself selling the book or launching the podcast when you were just trying to get the blueprint down on paper? 🤔

We strive to embody this faith in all we do at TyChi Productions. We do it scared. But we do it boldly and with FAITH that we will make someone’s dream a reality. Even in growing TyChi Productions we have had to strong faith they we could do it & was worthy of all that comes with it. We’ve learned day by day that regardless of how big or small your dream is, with faith ALL things are possible.

We thank Dr Martin Luther King Jr for these lessons everyday and honor him today for his service.

A little over a year ago at 1 of TyChi’s 1st photography gigs, I meet this DJ & a dope collaboration began. Since then, he’s continued to push me out of my comfort zone & I’ve probably pushed his patience between being a stubborn Marine & creative quirks. 🤣🤣

I’m a few days late, but I want to wish my favorite DJ, fellow business owner & friend a very happy birthday! I appreciate you so much for creating opportunities, growth and great jams! 🎧

The Marine Corps standard of honor, courage & commitment is the foundation of our work at TyChi Productions.

We typically pick entertainment themes for Halloween. Last year we did the musical Little Shop of Horrors. This year we chose to pay homage to one of our favorite movie producers & inspirations & favorite horror movies. One of our favorite actresses was an incredible star in it too. We had too much fun playing around with this one. Guess that movie! 🍿

People ask me all the time why do I work so hard? 🙋‍♀️

Why did I take TyChi Productions out of the hobby zone? ❓

This picture of my mini me (& the best employee I could ask for!) taking photos at one of our early & game changing events is always my “why”! 📸

I had already taken TyChi from an expensive hobby to a business, but this picture taken a year ago reaffirmed I was doing the right thing. As scary as it is, as exhausting as it is, as expensive as it is- remembering my “why” always keeps me going. 🥹

To see my sweet young lady be engrossed into the arts as a writer, performer & photographer is truly an inspiration & I know TyChi Productions can help me open doors for her. 💜

Fellow business owners, what is your why? My goal diggers, why do you keep pushing towards your goal(s)? It’s so helpful to have visual reminder so when you have those “I just wanna quit it all” moments, you remember why you shouldn’t. 🙏🏽

A dear client of ours (Susan) commissioned us to do a video compilation in honor of all firefighters with a tribute to her late husband and Greensboro NC firefighter R. El-Amin.

September is Firefighter appreciation month. On the last day of the month, we take a pause to thank firefighters and first responders all over the country. Thank you for what you do!
