Someone died because of me today.

The worst part was that he was innocent. He did absolutely nothing to deserve it, and a criminal was let go while this man took his place instead. Insane right? The man was stripped naked. Given a crown of thorns as a mockery of his kingship. He was spat on. Whipped. Given vinegar to drink from his dehydration. Nailed on a piece of wood that he had to carry to his death place. And betrayed by some of the closest people by him.

This man endured through such a cruel and gruesome death—I hope I never forget it. I hope that if I ever lose my memory one day that I will never ever lose the memory that I drove this man to die in my place when it should’ve been me.

Oh the gruesome death of our dear beautiful Jesus. It is because of you we are alive today. It is because of you we can live with purpose and meaning. Your death gives us life. It changed the trajectory of the whole world. You’ve changed my life, and I know you will change so many other lives too when they hear what you have done today. 🕊️

Jesus changed my life when I was 13. I got baptized that February of 2013 and then I was given the opportunity to sing a special song for my youth groups valentines party. I found this song that I believe captured everything I felt in my heart at that age. I was still young in my faith. A baby. But there was so much innocence and excitement in learning more about who this triune God was and His unconditional love for me through Jesus Christ. It was like walking into a candy shop … I was so enthralled by God. And so 13 years later … this song still holds the same meaning for me. It’s been a while since I’ve sang it. But when I did, it gave me that same joy of discovering and beholding God’s beauty with that childlike faith again. ❤️

hi sojourner. I just turned 26 yesterday and I have officially reached my late 20s 😨. I’m trying to be consistent in walking everyday. So I figured I could give you a little personal/biz update as I prepare for my daily walks. To be honest I should’ve started this walking habit in my early 20s instead of my late 20s but we all gotta start somewhere. Better late than never 😅

For further you who’s reading this:

AHHHH my shop is officially opened to the public!! It’s been TWO years since I fully released a whole new collection of designs. This one is near and dear to my heart because it heavily revolves around the Trinity. I wanted each product to display different aspects of our faith through each person of the Trinity. I hope you can resonate with the timeless truths of the Bible and proudly wear these pieces as an identity reminder.

📣 Shirt #2 is coming !!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging… ‘Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, 10

🕊️ Psalm 46 starts by showing us God’s power by showing us by contrasting it with how the greatness and grandness of creation listens to Him. And they all obey Him. These parts of creation that humble us and remind us how small we are as human beings are the very things that fear God. That’s where our stillness and trust come from. It comes from knowing His power over all of creation. This same God tells us and reminds us to be still and know He is God. It is a reminder that God will be God and all will bow down to Him.

So will you release that control to God? Will you be still and let Him be God over your life? Yes. Yes we will.

🕊️ We were created as image bearers of God which means that all human life is created equally with value. We were not an after thought of creation. Knowing this truth helps us treat one another with dignity and respect. It must transform the way we talk to one another, care for each other, and live together here on Earth during this lifetime. All human life is valuable because all human life is made in the image of God. No one is excluded from that marvelous truth. That is who we are. This is our identity. We are His. 🌱

📣 piece # 3 is making its debut !!

This shirt was inspired by our dear Jesus who died in our place to make us right with God. This tee is a blend between the beautiful tension of the violence of Jesus’ crucifixion and the victorious hope of His resurrection. This design started from a floating inspiration in my mind one day as I was reminded of and deeply moved by the gospel. I doodled the vision, but my husband Vincent fleshed it out. And then this drawing became everything I imagined in my head. Two years passed since that day, and now here we are sharing it with you.

Here are some Easter eggs behind the design:

🕊️ Tetelestai: this is the Greek word for “it is finished.” These were the last words our Jesus said before dying (John 19:30). It was in this moment when history would fulfill scriptures and complete the prophesies of the Old Testament of the harrowing reality of killing the innocent God-man, which would be the final sacrifice to make peace between humans and the God of the Universe.

🕊️ By His wounds: This is from the Bible verse in Isaiah 53:5 that says, “By His [Jesus] wounds we are healed.” This particular passage is Old Testament Bible prophecy that foreshadows Jesus’ crucifixion—to all which would happen during the Roman Empire under governor Pontius Pilate.

🕊️ The nail pierced hands: shows the brutality and violence our Savior had to endure because of our sins. It should’ve been us who paid for the debt of our sins against God. But He sent His one and only Son in our place to take the punishment of all sins.

🕊️ The linen: This represents Jesus victory against death and sin. Even though He laid dead in the tomb for three days, He would rise from the dead. The tomb was eventually found empty with just strips of linen and cloth which is physical proof and evidence that Jesus did what he said he would: rise from the dead after 3 days (John 2:19, John 20:6-7). No man has ever done that. But Jesus does and proves He is God. This resurrection seals the eternal destiny of those who place their faith in Jesus, and it would change the course and rewrite all of history.

So who is Jesus to you?
