One year with my dream agency, and almost 100 auditions down. Some of the best experiences and friendships of my life along the way. And I feel like I’ve only just started.
Someone asked me the other day if I was an actress, because they couldn’t tell from my Instagram. I realized then how much y’all don’t actually get to see: the hours of prep, the classes, the void of self-taping, the rejection. Even the wins we can’t talk about (yet).
Performance has always been part of who I am, but acting and auditioning is a daily practice. It’s woven into the life I’ve built now. And the trying, the only sometimes “succeeding,” feels so vulnerable to put out there. Social media feels built for wins, not for the tedium of the work or the heartbreak of losing.
But I think I’m starting to want to share the real thing, not just the highlight reel.
So tell me: do you want to see more? I think I’m starting to feel brave enough to share.
