I'm thrilled to share I’m a content coordinator for Waxhaw & Marvin Living, which is part of South Charlotte Media Group, and the October issue is out! 📝📸

It's been an amazing opportunity to work with a creative group of people and help bring inspiring, local stories to life.

🎃 It was a joy to interview this fun loving family that has fully embraced the town of Waxhaw, which is 40 minutes from Charlotte.

🫶🏼 I’m also grateful for the opportunity to work with founder Regina League on bringing South Charlotte Media Group branding to life across different platforms.

🎃 Spooky Season is officially here, and we’re kicking it off by sharing one of our all-time favorite Halloween parties: the Halloween Costume Hayride Party, featured in Waxhaw & Marvin Living Magazine! 👻🎉

This party holds a special place in our hearts — 9 years ago, we partnered with Shutterfly and Pottery Barn Kids to bring this festive and easy celebration to life. It’s been featured in multiple publications since, and it’s still one of our most loved! 🐈‍⬛

The past 4 months have been a journey — planning and bringing the Freedom Business Collective (FBC) 1st Anniversary Celebration to life alongside the incredible FBC tram. 💙🧡

It all started over coffee with Quinlan Lee, and turned into a chance to use my strategic planning skills in a way that really mattered.

The day was emotional in the best way. You could feel the impact. 🫶🏽

One of the highlights? Bringing my youngest daughter Charlotte along. She helped, listened, learned — and got a front-row seat to what community and entrepreneurship really mean.

From breaking bread (aka wings 🍗 at Chex Grill & Wings) and chatting about The Summer I Turned Pretty to :
🛠️ Hearing Ada Esther Gil Jimenez, founder of AEGJ Construction, share that Black women make up just 4% of the construction workforce in the U.S.
📚 Listening to Shawn Kennedy, an FBC Board member, tell the story of his family — from slavery to entrepreneurship.
FBC is doing the work:
💼 Supporting small biz owners
🏢 Providing affordable space
📈 Offering education + mentorship
🤝 Building real community

Apple Picking in North Carolina The Fall Season brings apple picking, pumpkin patch, hayrides, hiking in the mountains, and beautiful fall foliage! Our family's tradition is to start the fall season with apple picking! My girls look forward to this every season! I've enjoyed apple picking since I was a child growing up in Ohio. You wouldn't know fall was upon us here in Charlotte with temperatures reaching 89 degrees today, but it didn't stop us from having fun....
