Just a reminder: you don’t have to parent like everyone else. You weren’t called to conform to the ways of the world—you were chosen and equipped by God to raise your children in a way that aligns with your values, your faith, and your unique family dynamic.

April showers bring may flowers. It's already April, can you believe it? Here are some DIY home maintenance tips to get your spring going.

1. Breeze Booster – Clean Ceiling Fans & Reverse to Counter-Clockwise
→ Dust blades with a pillowcase to trap dirt, then switch the fan direction to counter-clockwise for better airflow in warmer months.

2. Smooth the Path – Inspect Driveway & Sidewalks for Cracks
→ Walk around your property and mark any cracks. Use a concrete filler or sealant to patch small ones before they spread.

3. Safe & Trim – Cut Tree Branches Away from the House
→ Use a pole saw or pruning shears to trim branches at least 10 feet away from the roof to prevent damage and pests.

4. Cool & Clean – Clean Refrigerator Coils
→ Unplug the fridge, use a coil brush or vacuum to remove dust from the coils (usually behind or underneath).

5. Fresh Views – Clean Blinds & Curtains
→ Dust blinds with a microfiber cloth or vacuum brush. For curtains, toss them in the wash or use a fabric refresher.

6. Exterior Check-Up – Inspect Siding for Damage
→ Walk around your home looking for cracks, warping, or mildew. Clean with a mild soap solution and patch minor damage with caulk.

March is here! Here are some DIY home maintenance tips.

1. Fresh & Functional – Clean the Garbage Disposal
→ Drop in ice cubes, a handful of baking soda, and a splash of vinegar. Let it fizz, then run cold water and turn on the disposal for 30 seconds.

2. Clear the Flow – Clean Gutters and Ensure Proper Drainage
→ Scoop out debris with a gutter scoop or gloved hands, then flush with a hose to check for clogs. Ensure downspouts direct water away from the house.

3. Crystal Clear – Clean and Replace Window Screens
→ Remove screens, scrub gently with soapy water, rinse, and let dry. If torn, use a screen repair kit or replace with a new mesh.

4. Roof Reality Check – Inspect for Damage
→ Use binoculars to look for missing shingles, cracks, or sagging spots. If safe, go up and gently press suspect areas—soft spots may indicate damage.

5. Stay Dry – Check That the Sump Pump Drains Properly
→ Pour a bucket of water into the pit; the pump should turn on and drain quickly. If slow or non-working, check for debris or test the power source.
