HEY, GIRLFRIEND! I’M ASHA, A BENGALI ORIGIN FREELANCE MAKEUP ARTIST BASED IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA!
From a very young age, I was always fascinated with makeup. It’s probably due to the fact that: I am a girly-girl through and through; my mother, aunts and sisters taught me so many beauty tips and tricks when I was growing up; I loved to color- crayons, pencils, paint, it really didn’t matter. I loved it all and I was good at it. Painting either on canvas or on face just kind of stuck. I was always into anything creative. I often joke that only one side of my brain works and that’s the creative side; it just comes naturally to me. I was a performer in college and university so naturally, stage makeup played a big role in that; and I just straight up LOVE makeup (and am naturally artistic).
After studying the art of makeup and how to bring out the natural beauty in everyone through self-taught techniques, in 2018, I decided to startup a Makeup Selling Venture back at my country along with a friend were at USA, I used to upload various makeup tutorials and do LIVE videos in social media, review products etc. that many of my people appreciated and suggested me to take it as a job. I believe makeup is something that should be used to enhance the natural features of each person’s face – not mask them. Now as I moved here I felt I am ready to give it a go.
