We the founders backgrounds

Eric Shaw aka Eric Donnell: Born and raised in North Carolina, Eric Donnell was cultivated by his grandparent’s as a groomed gentleman and multitalented artist. At the age of 6 he wrote his first song and by the time he had reached the fifth grade had written two children’s books fascinated by the art of poetry becoming a part of “The Young Writers.” Just a few years later he was inspired to someday create his own line of clothing while being encouraged by David Callands, his former art teacher. None the less, Eric’s passion for music lead him to become an active tenor at his school and the All County chorus ensemble. He is definitely no stranger to the stage, performing in various plays from elementary school all the way through college acting in dual roles and stage director of “Composition of a Hustler.” Currently he is the owner and operator of Neck Respect, an up and coming neck attire and accessory brand. He is also the current wardrobe designer and an ambassador of the RISE project.

Troi Cabbell aka Black Samurai: He came up with his stage/artist name from his love of Japanese music, entertainment, and culture. Black Samurai and Troi are 2 different people but have somethings in common. Black samurai free/uncensored, speaks his mind, doesn’t care what people think, straight forward, and open to trying somethings for a new experience, but Troi would let it slide and keep it moving depending on the subject and situation. However, both are a spiritual person, creative, and have a strong drive to get the job done . Black Samurai spells his name 2 ways Black or B!ack Samurai, depending on his mood and creative mold of the day. B!ack Samurai loves being creative because it’s a challenge of the constant change and new ways in impenitent ideas, oppose to doing a regular repetitive job which bores him. Being creative is B!k Samurai’s life calling. He noticed this as a child even though He didn’t have the support or up bring in the entertainment business. His creativity is expressed mostly through writing but he can also draws, designs, editing, videography, directing, producing, acting, and desires to sing! I have written six pilots (and more to come), writing moves, books, and music is also on the agenda. Black Samurai also presences his artistry through style of clothing and wears strange colored contacts. Black Samurai got his start at broadcasting school and interned on a local TV show in the city of Charlotte, NC where I currently lives. Now, he is co-owner of 2 geeks & A nerd Productions (a film company) making short film, developing TV shows/series, and is currently in charge of the creative/media department. Black Samurai also extends his creative talent to others in the entertainment industry.
