The ride opened at Hersheypark in 1994 as the world’s tallest and fastest water ride. It has drenched riders and onlookers alike for over 30 years.

Tidal Force takes its final plunge Monday, September 7th.

The amusement park community lost a true legend today.

Dolly Parton was much more than the name behind Dollywood. Her kindness, generosity and love for the Smoky Mountains helped create a place that has brought joy to generations of families.

Rest in peace, Dolly. Your legacy will live on forever.

On National Rollercoaster Day, Hersheypark announced that the historic SooperDooperLooper will receive several exciting upgrades for the 2027 season, just in time for the coaster’s 50th anniversary. The updates will include an all-new station, new arrival and boarding experience, immersive lighting, enhanced audio, along with other enhancements.

The last day to ride SooperDooperLooper during the 2026 season will be September 7.

This morning, Kennywood’s Jack Rabbit roller coaster received the Centennial Coaster designation from the American Coaster Enthusiasts.

The ACE Centennial Coaster designation was created to recognize roller coasters that reached the significant anniversary of 100 years or more. Very few coasters have reached this incredible milestone, furthering ACE’s goal of historic roller coaster preservation and education.

The Centennial plaque is located just above the existing ACE Rollercoaster Landmark plaque.
