Seeing Maia Campbell back on our screens is the kind of comeback story I love to see. ❤️

Many of us grew up watching Maia light up television in In the House, South Central, Sister, Sister, and Poetic Justice. Over the years, we also watched her battle bipolar disorder and addiction while so many people rooted and prayed for her from afar. (Wikipedia)

Now she’s stepping back into acting with a role in Gina 2, where she plays Agent Williams. The film is scheduled to be released this summer and marks another exciting chapter in her journey. (Instagram)

I don’t know about y’all, but seeing Maia working again brings me so much joy. God is good. What a blessing it is to witness someone keep getting up after life has knocked them down. Her story is a reminder that setbacks don’t have to be the end of the story.

I’m wishing Maia Campbell continued healing, happiness, and an abundance of success. Welcome back, Maia. We have been rooting for you all along. 🙏🏾

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - One person was shot inside a Walmart in northwest Charlotte on Thursday night, according to police.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, police said one person was shot inside Walmart off Callabridge Court.

The person was not identified and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At the time of this writing it was not immediately clear what led up to the shooting.

Authorities say things took a tragic turn when a customer reportedly tried stepping in to help the woman, leading the employee to allegedly open fire and sho*t him multiple times.

A 38-year-old woman was shot and killed at her daughter’s prom party in Indianapolis after refusing to let masked men inside.

Brittany Members, 38, was standing at the front door of a two-story yellow short-term rental Sunday morning just before 1 a.m. when someone tried to get in. “I was told somebody came to that door with ski masks on and they tried to get in and she said, ‘You can’t get in, we don’t know you,’ and he said, ‘So we can’t come in,’ and fired a shot point blank to my baby’s head,” a family member said.

She died after being taken to the hospital. Two others were injured and took themselves to the hospital. A neighbor saw a white hatchback backing up the street with the lights off, shooting in both directions. People at the house fired back. Neighbors described three rounds of gunfire that resulted in 80 shell casings.

No arrests have been made.
