Resuming normal after festivities is a task, it’s like recovering from jet lag and coming back to feeling normal 🤣😂! And the amount of clean up after those !! Picked a 9 yards that AMMA gave it to me in this Indian trip, now that festivities are over I don’t know whether I get a chance to wear it that way. So decided to drape it as 6 yards to show it to her !!

Kept everything minimal from necklace to my bangles to studs which u never see as god kept my ears so so close and now you know reason for my big earrings 😀!

Same with my makeup did a blue liner mixed with black to give that look that is subtle but pop !

People often think Mondays are for resets, but for me, it’s Thursdays that truly feel like that. ✨ With so much happening around, Thursdays remind me to pause, slow down, reflect, and re-energize.

A temple visit is always grounding — I carry with me the names and faces of everyone I spoke to during the week who might need an extra prayer. We never know the silent battles behind someone’s smile, and I hope these positive vibes reach and heal them. 🌸

Catching up with friends in person also feeds my soul — no matter how connected we feel on social media, nothing compares to those two hours of real, face-to-face conversations. Pure therapy. 💛

This morning was a rush — just 15 minutes to wind up breakfast and lunch for kiddo before draping a saree. I chose this Venkatagiri simply for its color…

Day 9 of Navratri 2025

Last year when I wore this saree, my heart was heavy with worry. My parents were caught in the stress of losing the home we grew up in — taken over by the government for a development project. The uncertainty around it all was overwhelming.

A year later, I feel a sense of relief. Amma and Appa have now moved into a rental and are slowly settling down. Moving at any age is difficult, but at 75, it brought both physical and emotional strain. Amma, especially, wasn’t ready to let go — convincing her that this change could be for the better was one of the hardest things. For seven long years, while they fought in court, every conversation with her carried that pain, and it broke me each time.

I keep reminding myself — this too shall pass. And I hope she finds peace, comfort, and even moments of joy in this new space.

Today, I chose to wear this saree — the one Amma bought 25 years ago for the housewarming of that very home we just had to leave behind. We may have moved on from the house, but the memories within its walls will always remain in our hearts to cherish. ❤️ Scroll to the end to see me in 1999 🥰 with Amma
