I want to introduce you to someone special. 🌱

Meet Stacey Baker — entrepreneur, mom, and the visionary founder of Grow Cafe Charlotte right here in Charlotte, NC.

If you haven’t heard of Grow Cafe Charlotte yet, let me be the one to tell you about it — because this place is something truly special.

Stacey didn’t just open a café. She created an intimate community space designed specifically for mothers. A place where moms — especially new moms — can come in, work, breathe, and connect with other women navigating the same season of life. No pressure. No pretense. Just real community in a beautiful, welcoming space.

And Charlotte took notice. 👑
Grow Cafe was awarded one of the best birthday spots in Charlotte — but ask any mom who’s walked through those doors and she’ll tell you it means so much more than that.

Stacey recently joined me on The Executive Chair Podcast and her story is one I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. She talked about what it means to build a business from your own lived experience, and what happens when a woman decides to create the thing her community desperately needs.

This is purpose-driven entrepreneurship at its finest.

If you’re in the Charlotte area, you need to visit Grow Cafe Charlotte. And if you’re anywhere else — you need to listen to this episode.

Has anyone ever looked at what you were building and called it “little?” Your little business. Your little podcast. Your little brand. Said it like it was nothing. Like your sacrifice, your late nights, your investment, your faith meant absolutely nothing.

Because I have.

Today’s episode of The Executive Chair Podcast is probably the most honest I’ve ever been on the mic. We’re getting into the myths nobody tells entrepreneurs, fake support, fake collaboration, the loneliness that comes with leadership, and the uncomfortable truth about why some businesses fail before they even get started.

This is not a highlight reel conversation. This is the stuff we usually keep private.

If you’ve ever felt unsupported while building your dream, if you’ve ever kept going even when the people closest to you got quiet, if you’ve ever poured everything into something only you could fully see — this episode was made for you.

New episode drops TODAY on YouTube and Spotify. Share this post so it gets in front of somebody who needs to hear it. 🎙️

🚨 If you own a business and have ever been denied funding — or don’t even know where to start — stop scrolling. This one is for you.
I sat down with Gia Crawford of SOAR Capital Business Funding for one of the most important conversations I’ve had on The Executive Chair Podcast. We talked about what most entrepreneurs don’t know about business credit, why so many business owners are getting denied before they even apply, how to structure your business to actually qualify for funding, what to do with capital once you receive it, and the funding opportunities that are available right now to business owners who are positioned correctly.
This isn’t theory. This is the blueprint. 💼
Whether you’re just starting out, have been in business for years, or have been told NO by a lender — this episode will change how you move going forward. Share this with every business owner you know. They will thank you later.

My mom’s health scare changed my life in ways she probably doesn’t even realize.

Watching her go through that season pushed me toward my purpose… and ultimately toward helping women experiencing hair loss reclaim their confidence again.

Before the magazine features.
Before Hair Majesty.
Before the recognition.

There was simply a daughter who wanted to help women feel beautiful during hard moments. 🥹✨

Sharing this part of my story with Salon Evo Magazine was emotional because this business was built from purpose, compassion, and love.

A huge thank you to Sola Salons for selecting me for this incredible opportunity and for believing in my journey. Walking into Sola almost 10 years ago, I never could’ve imagined moments like this. 🤍

What a perfect opportunity to celebrate my mom, just in time for Mother’s Day. Sometimes the thing that hurts you the most becomes the very thing God uses to shape your calling. ✨

This isn’t just another podcast episode for me… this one is personal. ❤️

Today I’m welcoming my MOM to The Executive Chair Podcast.

A first-generation college graduate. A mother. A leader. A caregiver. A retired social worker turned entrepreneur. A woman who spent her life pouring into others.

The strength, compassion, and ambition people see in me today started with her. 🥹✨

And honestly… this may be my proudest episode yet.

Huge thank you to our recording and production partner

Season 3 of The Executive Chair is here… and for the first time ever, I invited someone to sit in this chair who helped shape every woman I’ve become. ❤️

This episode is deeply personal.
No business strategy.
No industry talk.
Just legacy, sacrifice, motherhood, faith, resilience, and the quiet strength behind generations.

In honor of Mother’s Day month, I chose to tell a story that means everything to me. And honestly? This may be the most important conversation I’ve ever had on this platform. 🎙️

Some women don’t just inspire you…
they raise you.

And this episode is for her. ✨

Season 3 premieres soon on YouTube & Spotify.
Get ready for a conversation that will stay with you long after the cameras stop rolling.

Me: I don’t do prom hair…” 😂

Ethan: “L, can you do my best friend’s hair for prom?” and somehow auntie mode activated immediately 😭✨

Now mind you… I was fully prepared to say no.

But after seeing her, hearing how excited she was, and knowing prom is one of those memories you never forget, I couldn’t help myself.

So we took her from simple to stunning. Soft curls, beautiful body, effortless movement, and a look that felt youthful, polished, and prom-perfect without doing too much.

Prom hair 2026 is officially in the books and apparently I do prom hair now 😂

Auntie role: fully activated. Hair stylist role: understood the assignment. ✨

Because sometimes the styles you “don’t do” end up being your favorite ones. 🤍
