One year ago today on February 15, 2020 my solo album “Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time!” debuted and I kicked off what was supposed to be an 11 month world tour, to surpass my previous record of 10 months on the road in 2014. Unfortunately March 18 I played my final show in Bisbee, AZ, covid restrictions having devastated the entertainment industry with all live music banned by the government. It's still hard to believe what the world has come to.
So I lived off the grid for 2 months in the southwestern US and tried to make the best of a bad situation. After it became clear live music was not going to be allowed for the foreseeable future I returned home to Charlotte, NC and worked 3 jobs for the rest of 2020 to make up for the crippling financial hardships I faced from the tour's forced cancellation. With my heart broken over the long months toiling day and night at the 3 jobs 7 days a week to pay off my debts I asked myself if it was time to retire from music. I ruminated many months before answering myself...”HELL NO!!” I've been at this for 25 years and faced many obstacles... Greece's economy collapse while I was on tour there in 2008, Thailand's military coup while I was on tour there in 2014, band-mates quitting in the middle of tours, living in my van and my recording studio in between tours because I can't afford a real place to live, you name it...I've dealt with it. All so I could go on kindling the flame inside me that drives me to create and perform music.
It pleases me greatly to announce that I have began recording my solo album's sequel “Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time 2!” and I plan to tour extensively to support this new album. If the government continues to unjustly crack down on independent live music while heartless multi-billion dollar corporations thrive with unprecedented profits, I'll play music on the streets, I'll play music in the fields, I'll play music in the hills and on the beaches and I will never give up the dream that has driven me since 1996 when I started the alternative rock band Angwish with the mission to create and perform sincere and powerful music that comes from the depths of my very soul.
In honor of last year's squelched album I give you one final music video from “Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time” which is ironically quite an unhappy song: “About My Life”. I hope you enjoy it and if you wish to support the cause please consider making a donation at www.angwish.com and/or subscribing to the exclusive content page there. I bid you good night and please stay tuned for further news if you are interested, I have many happy surprises to reveal in due time. Stay happy and keep having fun my friends, thanks so much for your support!

P.S... this music video is a tribute to one of my favorite films. The first person who replies to this email with the film I am paying tribute to wins a lifetime free subscription to the www.angwish.com exclusive content page!
