If you haven’t heard the news that recently took over social media, here’s what happened 👇🏻
One of the clean cereal brands, that I used to buy and recommend, Seven Sundays, in recent independent test, their Sunflower Cereal was tested positive in glyphosate with levels higher than some conventional cereals.
Now, Seven Sundays publicly confirmed that their 23 grain-based products are certified Glyphosate Residue Free by The Detox Project. However, their 5 grain-free products, including the Sunflower Cereal I showed in my video, had not yet been enrolled in that certification program.
👉🏼The good news is that the company responded and said they will begin testing those products and work on addressing the issue.
That is always good to hear, and this is exactly why consumer awareness matters !
❕But at the same time, it is still frustrating. Many of us are trying to support cleaner companies and choose better options for our families, especially for our children. And when a product is marketed as clean, we expect the testing to match that standard, before it ends up in our kids’ bowls.
So, in the meantime, one cereal brand I do feel good about right now is . My kids love it, and I appreciate that it is organic, non-GMO, glyphosate-free tested, and made with simple ingredients, no artificial ingredients and even no “natural flavors”.
If you’re looking for a cleaner cereal alternative, I suggest checking them out.
