On April 29th, 2024, Charlotte, North Carolina, faced a heartbreaking tragedy as four officers lost their lives in the line of duty. In the face of this sorrow, our city came together with strength and compassion. Just three days later, on May 2nd, First Baptist Church of Charlotte opened its doors to host the FORCLT event, a beacon of hope and unity amidst darkness.

Over 240 individuals from diverse backgrounds and 80 churches across the region gathered under one roof to lift their voices in prayer and solidarity. Together, we sought comfort, healing, and renewal, drawing strength from our faith and each other. Through heartfelt worship, fervent prayer, and the breaking of bread, we invoked the name of Jesus, finding solace in His presence and the unity of our community.

Join us in commemorating this powerful moment of unity and healing. Together, let us continue to pray, support, and uplift one another as we navigate through challenges and emerge stronger together.

Story is powerful. Nearly 43% of the Bible is made up of stories. They are heroic, miraculous, sad, joyful, all laced with hope and truth. Many people see our current day story as dark, corrupt…. hopeless. Is Charlotte, NC any different? The scoffers will say “where is God? Why doesn't He do miracles anymore?” The truth is good doesn’t make the news. So we need to show people what He’s doing in this city. Everyday I work with nonprofits across Charlotte and they see God at work first hand. It's in the darkness that light shines its brightest. Every Saturday, I'm going to tell those stories!
